How To Drive Free Internet Traffic To Your Website

How to Gain more Insight into your Videos with YouTube Insight

March 10th, 2011 · affiliate marketing, How to ..., internet marketing, internet traffic, seo tips, seo tools, seo training, Wordpress

YouTube Insight is a self-service analytics and reporting tool that enables Affiliate Marketing with a YouTube account to view detailed statistics about the audience for the videos that they upload to the site. as described in the following video. I discovered this very useful tool which is loaded with great research data and I find this really useful for my affiliate marketing activities.

YouTube Insight is YouTube’s user-facing analytics and reporting product that enables anyone with a YouTube account to view detailed statistics about the videos that they upload to the site. This first version charts video views on an interactive time line and map, allowing users to see viewing activity in specific regions over selected time periods. It also allows users to compare the relative popularity of their videos in a given region to all other videos in that region.

To see Insights on your own videos, sign into your YouTube Account and click your username in the upper right hand corner of the home screen, then select My videos. Click on the Insight tab on the top navigation bar.

To see Insight for other peoples’ uploads, just click the video View count button below any video player on the video watch page. A field will then expand with Insight data for that video.

The data types you can pull include:
Views & Popularity

Examine both an interactive graphical trend line and a heat map of where video views are coming from. You can adjust the period of time display and the continent, country, or even US state.

The marketing video introducing Google TV has attracted 2.7 million video views. At its height, the video attracted around 500,000 daily views.

Discovery

Understand how people discovered your video. See specifically which search terms on YouTube or Google led the user to your video, which related videos led to your discovery, or which websites embed your videos.

Views for the video mainly came from embedded players on sites such as Google.com, macrumors.com, and engadget.com.

Demographics

See the age and gender of your audience. You can adjust time and geographical data to explore how your audience differs before, during, or after specific initiative or in specific regions.

The audience was best represented among men and people aged 35-54.

Audience Attention

The “Hot Spot” feature tells you which parts of your video are hot and which are cold by looking at bounce and rewind rate to videos of a similar length. At any time point in the video, you can see if more or less viewers are dropping off than on average.

The video holds high audience attention. Video viewership and interest is well above the YouTube average

Community Engagement

Observe how many times viewers rate, favorite, or comment on your videos.

How to Keep your Post on the First Page of your Blog

March 7th, 2011 · How to ..., internet marketing, internet traffic, seo tools, seo training, Wordpress

What normally happens when you add a post into a WordPress blog, the post appears at the top of the first page, then moves down the page then off the first page depending on the WordPress settings of how many post are to be displayed on the first page.

What I was looking for was the ability to keep an important post on the first page for a few days and to have some control over it. With the WP_Sticky plug-in, I can control how long the post remains on the first page. Let me explain how this is achieved in this video tutorial.

With the WP_Sticky plug-in, there are three settings, sticky posts, announcements posts, and the normal post setting.

Another of my favorite CPA Networks is Neverblue (click here to find out why).

‘Announcement posts’ are posts which will appear at the top of the page and stay there until the setting on the WP_Sticky plug-in are changed to Sticky or Normal.

Using the ‘Sticky posts’ setting, the post will only stay on top of all the posts for one day only.

Hopefully the following example will demonstrate the different settings:

Announcement
- Post 5 (Announcement Post)

29th Jan 2011
- Post 6
- Post 7
- Post 8

28th Jan 2011
- Post 4 (Sticky Post)
- Post 1
- Post 2
- Post 3

As you can see, Post 4 is set to a ‘sticky post’ and will stay on top of all posts that are posted on 28th Jan 2011 ONLY.

Posts that are posted after 28th Jan 2011 (eg. 29th Jan 2011) will be posted on top of the sticky post that was posted on 28th Jan 2011.

For Post 5, the ‘announcement post’, will stay on top of all posts until this setting is changed to either normal or sticky.

Traffic Geyser: Get Top Search Engine Listings in Google, Yahoo and MSN Within Hours (Click Link)

For example, one of the main features of a cPanel is the ability to manage multiple domains under one control panel. Here is a description of using a feature of the cPanel, Addon domains, to highlight this feature of the cPanel.

An Addon domain is a domain name that that points to a subdirectory within your account. For example, you may want http://www.auto-accessories-world.com to point to http://surco-roof-racks.auto-accessories-world.com. Addon domains must be registered domain names that you own (i.e. http://www.auto-accessories-world.com) and configured to point to your web site’s servers.

To add a domain to your web site:

1) Click on the Addon Domains button on the home page.
2) Enter the domain name in the New Addon Domain field.
3) Add the directory that the Addon domain points to in the Username/directory name field.
4) Enter the password for the domain in the Password field, if required.
5) Click on the Add button

How to set up VPN so your computer is in the USA

February 22nd, 2011 · affiliate marketing, cpa networks, How to ..., internet marketing, internet traffic, seo, seo tips, seo tools, seo training

Using VPN or Virtual Private Network, has many important applications. Probably the most important is being able to hide your identity and prevent people from seeing where you are located when browsing the Internet. Often when you are setting up Affiliate Marketing campaigns, or doing research on your competitors Affiliate campaigns, being anonymous is important.

In this video, I describe how to set up your computer with a VPN connection so your computer can appear as though it is located in San Francisco, New York, London or Paris. Once you setup your VPN connection, it is a matter of clicking Connect and your computer is now in one of those remote locations.

The other very important aspect of setting up and using a VPN connection is if you are into Affiliate Marketing and live outside of the USA, for example, it is very hard to setup your USA based offers. When you go to an affiliate site like PeerFly.com, to setup your USA base offers, when you click to view the offer, what will happen is the offer landing page will detect by means of your IP address and Meta Tags, that your are browsing this page from outside of the USA and will prevent you from seeing the landing page. This makes life difficult for seeing what the landing page looks like and make testing your affiliate offers like shooting in the dark.

I live in Australia and I often have my laptop constantly connected to San Francisco for hours without noticing any slow or delays in response times.
